Mr. Koester earned his Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Murray State University in 2014. He is a licensed Certified Psychological Assistant (CPA) in Tennessee and is pursuing his license as a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has experience working in an outpatient and community-based mental health clinic with children, adolescents, and adults.
Using a Cognitive-Behavioral approach, Cory focuses on what a person can do, rather than what they cannot. Active listening, developing trust, giving practical support, and straightforward communication provide the basis for his therapeutic interactions. His research interests include empirical studies on communication and jealousy.
