Jennifer Castner graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with her MA in clinical mental health counseling in 2016. Jennifer is a Nationally Certified Counselor and also has an MA in experimental psychology from MTSU (2013). She is currently working on her PhD in clinical mental health counseling: teaching and supervision. Before coming to CBH, Jennifer worked in an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, in an extended care residential treatment center for individuals with primary trauma and codependency, and completed her internship working with soldiers and families at Fort Campbell.
Jennifer is trained in EMDR, Experiential Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. She is excited at how these energetic modes of treatment empower people in their own healing, and has a deep passion for helping those heal from trauma and regain their sense of self. Jennifer enjoys working with children, adults, and couples. In addition to trauma, Jennifer areas of interest include personality disorders, anxiety, family issues, and codependency.
