Gwen Burke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Social Work, and prior to that from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families and groups. Previous counseling experiences include an inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital, a community mental health clinic, experiential therapy services, and facilitating drug and alcohol education and support groups in schools.
Gwen has experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused therapy techniques to help people to cope with depression, bipolar, anxiety, OCD, grief, and stress management. She is a parent with empathy and experience raising children in our ever changing world. She develops a therapeutic alliance through empathy, trust and support to help individuals or families cope with stressors, improve functioning, and lead happier lives. In her spare time, Gwen can be found walking her Golden Retriever Lily.
