Kayla Davis earned her M.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University. She is currently pursuing her license as a Licensed Professional Counselor, with Mental Health Service Provider designation in Tennessee. She has experience providing crisis intervention and outpatient therapy to adults with a variety of diagnoses and personal matters. Kayla is passionate about the self-awareness and insight that therapy can bring and strives to provide a safe and warm environment for those seeking therapy. She utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach to improve mental health while emphasizing the client-centered characteristics of unconditional positive regard, acceptance, and empathy to facilitate growth and change. Her clinical interests include attachment difficulties, generalized and social anxiety, depression, trauma, and OCD.
In her spare time, Kayla enjoys semaphoring long, dramatic conversations with 14th Century royalty and training pieces of paper to elocute as quietly as possible. Not. Although, she does bake an awesome banana cream pie!
