Leanne earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, with a focus in palliative care. In addition, she holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Nursing and Marketing.
While serving the patients and families of Alive Hospice for eight years, she became profoundly aware of the unbreakable connection between emotional and physical health. During her twelve years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she involved herself in research focusing on antidepressants, ADHD medications, and antipsychotics. Recently, she spent three years working overseas where she dedicated most of her time to improving community based palliative care services to the residents of Qatar.
Leanne has a passion for behavioral and mental health as she considers these cornerstones of human wellness. Her role at CBH Clarksville | Brentwood focuses on medication management for a variety of psychological conditions in patients twelve years and older. Knowing that medication alone is only one part of complete care, she works closely with her colleagues at CBH Clarksville | Brentwood to ensure that all avenues for treatment are explored. During her free time, she often expresses “Free time? What free time???” because her talent for making clown costumes (see Greg Smith’s bio) is unrivaled (well, maybe not clown costumes).
